The Christian teachings of hope, generosity, respect, dignity, and equity are at the heart of the Halton Catholic Children’s Foundation and inform the impact we strive to have in our community. Through the work of our volunteers and donors – in partnership with the staff and teachers of our Halton Catholic District School Board schools – we are able to help bring these teachings to life.
The Halton Catholic Children’s Foundation (HCCF) is an independent charity. We have partnered with the Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB) to support their students and families in need throughout Halton (Acton, Burlington, Georgetown, Halton Hills, Milton, Oakville). We raise funds to help HCDSB students overcome financial barriers to learning, which helps our students succeed in school.
We believe every child deserves the opportunity to succeed.
But an Achievement Gap can form between students from low-income households and their peers. The ability for a student to fully engage in their learning journey – including technology, trips, teams, and other projects that sometimes require funds to participate – can make an enormous difference in their learning success.
In addition, social exclusion, shame, anger, stigma, low self-esteem, low confidence, and loss of hope are all issues related to student poverty. The ability to fully participate in their education alongside their peers alleviates the Mental Health Challenges that accompany many of our HCDSB students in need.
MISSION STATEMENT
To help HCDSB students succeed at school by providing financial support to students in need.
VISION STATEMENT
All HCDSB students have equitable opportunities at school, regardless of financial barriers.
HCCF’s 3 YEAR STRATEGIC PLAN – 2021-2024
By 2024, we will be helping over 800 students in need per year. We will achieve this by growing the Foundation’s revenues by 56% though revenue diversification, strong community awareness, employing strong governance and streamlining efficient and transparent processes.

Annual T3010 Returns
To demonstrate compliance with federal tax laws, registered charities must file a Registered Charity Information Return (T3010) with the Canada Revenue Agency each year.
