COVID-19 has been really challenging for many students & their families.
HCCF has financially assisted over 800 HCDSB students, since March 2020, with food, clothing & other basic necessities – 2X the number of students we would typically help in a similar time frame.
We have helped a record number of students during the pandemic.
“It is shocking when we recognize that 8.2%* of Halton’s community lives below the poverty line – and the distance between the have’s and have not’s increases during times of crisis. The pandemic has made clear that we need to do more to support the students and their families who are struggling and that there are, in fact, more struggling students to support,” states Marvin Duarte, HCCF Board of Directors Chair.
We need your help to raise $25,000 to meet a funding gap so we can continue to say “yes” to students in need.
