MARTIN MCCARTHY DONATES $25,000James McInnis
Heading back to school can be a challenging time filled with many financial requirements for families, one of which being school uniforms. HCCF and McCarthy Uniforms strongly believe that all students deserve the dignity to have clean, well fitted, and high-quality clothing to attend school.
Martin McCarthy (Chairman at McCarthy Uniforms Inc.) recognizes this and the need for support that exists within our Halton community, and so has made a personal $25,000 gift to HCCF in order to support HCDSB students in need with their uniform requirements.
In addition to this gift, the current system for HCDSB schools to access vouchers through McCarthy Uniforms is still in place and they are welcome to do so.
This generous gift to HCCF will allow for an alternate option for schools to support students with basic needs, back to school supplies and uniform needs at the same time. . . all through HCCF Financial Assistance. Martin’s kind gift is very timely given the many Back-to-School financial challenges that HCDSB students can experience this time of year, and will allow for students to feel supported, hopeful, and confident in the school year ahead of them.
We would like to send a great thanks to Martin McCarthy for giving HCCF the opportunity to reach more students and families in need, and to ease some of their worry about the upcoming school year.
More information on how schools can apply for uniform vouchers from HCCF will be available in the coming weeks.
